School Council

You can engage in your child’s learning at home and school in many ways. The school council provides advice on school matters and helps to strengthen the important relationship between schools, families and their communities. The council includes family members, school staff and community members.

Membership

Maple High’s School Council includes a group of elected parents, the Principal, a teacher, a non-teaching staff member, a student, and appointed community members. All the parents are unpaid volunteers. Elected parent members represent all the parents of students at Maple High School. Parents work co-operatively with school staff and the administration to build a strong school community that works in the best interest of Maple High’s students.

Come to our next meeting! Every year, at the first meeting of the School Council in September,  an election is held for parent members. Up to 13 parents may be elected as voting members of the School Council. All parents of Maple High's students are always welcome to attend School Council meetings. Attend a meeting and check us out!
